Hello, I hope you are well.
Would it be possible to add a section in assessment tools for pregnant women?. Florence example;

Pregnant Woman Assessment – Suggested Order

  1. PV bleeding
  • Any bleeding abnormal in pregnancy
  • Estimate volume
  • Associated pain/clots
  1. Abdominal pain
  • Severity/location
  • Contractions?
  • Constant or intermittent?
  1. Reduced fetal movements
  • Important fetal wellbeing indicator
  1. Premature rupture of membranes (PROM/PPROM)
  • Fluid loss
  • Colour/smell
  • Gestation
  1. Meconium-stained liquor
  • Waters should normally be clear
  1. Pre-term labour
  • Contractions
  • Pressure
  • Back pain
  • <37 weeks
  1. Pregnancy-induced hypertension / pre-eclampsia
  • Headache
  • Visual changes
  • RUQ pain
  • Hypertension
  1. Trauma / falls
  • Even minor trauma significant in pregnancy
  1. Cord snapping / cord complications
  • Clamp immediately if snapped
  • Consider neonatal blood loss
  1. Large for gestational age
  • Diabetes/shoulder dystocia risk
  1. Vaginal discharge
  • Infection vs membrane rupture
  1. UTI
  • Common and may trigger pre-term labour
  1. D&V
  • Dehydration/sepsis concerns
  1. Itching or rash
  • Consider obstetric cholestasis
  1. Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Respiratory compromise/sepsis risk

It would also be useful to include flash cards for pregnancy, birth, bleeding, placenta delivery etc.

Cheers
